Supporting Waikato Pacific Success
The Waikato Pacific Business Network (WBPN) launched on 1 May 2018 with a vision to build more sustainable and profitable Pacific-owned businesses, while developing Pacific professionals across the Waikato region.
Our growing network spans a wide range of sectors throughout the Waikato, including enterprise, small to medium-sized businesses, large-scale corporations, local government agencies, ITOs, tertiary institutions, and business professionals.
Connect. Share. Empower
We aim to “Connect, Share and Empower” our members through networking events, bi-monthly newsletters, and member evenings.
We provide an environment where knowledge is shared, meaningful business connections are formed, and opportunities for growth are fostered.
Connect
We believe in building strong networks across our members, providing business growth and professional development opportunities through leveraging knowledge and partnerships.
Share
We believe in sharing knowledge and information. We provide relevant workshops, newsletters, events, content, resources and services to help our members grow
Empower
We provide a platform to empower our members by advocacy for our Pacific people. We connect with Regional and National Networks and Government departments to ensure Pacific voices are heard
Supporting Pacific Business Growth
With Pacific people making up a growing part of the Waikato population, the Network provides a platform, services, connections, and practical tools to help Pacific businesses and professionals thrive and prosper
Our Objectives
The Waikato Pacific Business Network seeks to:
Work collaboratively across all sectors
Advise local government and iwi on matters relating to Pacific economic and social development
Inform members about domestic and international marketplace opportunities connected to Pacific enterprise and business in the Waikato region and across New Zealand
Advocate effectively for members through a strong and connected network
Meet Our Board
Our board brings together business leaders, legal and financial professionals, and community advocates from across the Waikato. They give their time because they believe in what WPBN stands for-and because they’ve seen firsthand what Pacific business can achieve with the right support behind it.
